On the Same Page 2014

On the Same Page is an annual community reading event that takes place in October each year. Bloomingdale Public Library, Roselle Public Library, and Itasca Community Library collaborate to present a month of events and book discussions that allows our communities to come together by reading the same book. This year's title is The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman.

It is the story of a shattered World War I veteran who returns to his Australian hometown, gets married, and takes a job as a lighthouse keeper on a remote island. The couple’s longing for a child contributes to their making a choice that has far-reaching consequences. Copies of the book will be available at the library while supplies last beginning on September 1.
