Downloading eBooks & Audiobooks

Ready to download an eBook or audiobook? The library offers multiple resources for downloadable media. To download an eBook or audiobook, you must have a Bloomingdale Public Library card and a computer/laptop or compatible smartphone/tablet to install the related software or app.

MyMediaMall

MyMediaMall

  • Formats Available: eBooks and audiobooks
  • Compatible Devices: eReaders, smartphones, tablets, and computers
  • Getting Started: Check My Help, the Overdrive Help videos, or the library's Help Guides, which provide a step-by-step overview of MyMediaMall.
  • Loan Periods: 7, 14, or 21 days (user controlled setting - default is 14 days)
  • Overdrive Advantage: Additional copies of popular titles are available exclusively for Bloomingdale cardholders, so you'll get books faster! Check our Overdrive Advantage Books page for a complete list of titles.

Axis 360/eReadIllinois

  • Formats Available: eBooks
  • Compatible Devices: eReaders, smartphones, tablets, and computers. Compatible with Kindle Fire tablets. Not compatible with Kindle eInk eReaders.
  • Getting Started: Check the library's Help Guides, which provide a step-by-step overview of Axis 360/eReadIllinois.
  • Loan Periods: 14 days

Hoopla

  • Formats Available: Audiobooks (TV shows, music, and movies are also available)
  • Compatible Devices: Smartphones, tablets, and computers. Compatible with 7" and 8.9" Kindle Fire HDX tablets. Not compatible with eInk eReaders.
  • Getting Started: Check the Hoopla Help PDF.
  • Loan Periods: Audiobooks - 21 days, music - 7 days, TV shows and movies - 3 days

OneClickDigital

  • Formats Available: Audiobooks
  • Compatible Devices: Smartphones, tablets, and computers. Compatible with Kindle Fire, Nook HD/HD+, and Nook tablets. Not compatible with eInk eReaders.

  • Loan Periods: 10 days
