K – 2 Grade
Mondays, June 16- July 21 4:30-5 or 5-5:30
Develop language comprehension by reading with a teen buddy. Each student will be paired with a trained teen buddy or librarian to share books for 20 minutes. The focus will be on building vocabulary, background knowledge and enjoyment rather than decoding skills. Please sign up each week individually; only one slot per week.

Bridgeport area—you’ll discover how each piece of the South Side tells a unique story. You’ll also get a
chance to experience the evolution of The South Side, through some fascinating A-ha moments. Plus,
learn about the notable new additions and their connections to the community’s ongoing
transformation.
This presentation is not just about historical facts—it’s about ‘feeling’ The South Side, with a rich
collection of photos that showcase the sights, scenes, and moments that make this region come alive.
Whether it's a classic shot of the lakefront, a bustling local eatery, or a sporting event that defines
community pride, the visuals will bring the stories to life.
My South Side isn’t just a presentation—it’s a conversation. You’re invited to share your own South Side
memories, favorite local spots, or perhaps a legendary sports moment that you cherish. This is a
