1000 Books before Kindergarten

This is an ongoing program.
Registration is required.

Be on the lookout for our new exciting program 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. This new reading program encourages all Bloomingdale families and caregivers with young children before they enter Kindergarten. Studies have shown that families that start reading aloud to their children from birth strengthen language and vocabulary skills. Ask at the Youth Services’ Desk for more information. Or you can sign up right here.


Virtual Storytime

Enjoy a special storytime from our Youth Services staff's home! We will share stories, songs and fingerplays every Wednesday at 10:00 am


Virtual Happy Books Happy Cooks

Mondays in July
7:00 p.m.

Registration is not required.

Enjoy a special happy cooks, happy books from your own home! Listen to stories and learn how to create a cool treat. This will be posted to our youtube page and linked out on our facebook.


Take It Make It Emoji Party

July 17
Registration is required.

Grade K-6
Are you feeling happy, sad, crazy or just plain poopy? Join us as we celebrate Emoji Day with stories, crafts, games and tons of fun! A bag full of activities and crafts will be available to the first 25 people that register. Please pick up your bag at the youth services desk.


Virtual Bingo

July 21
Registration is required.

Grade K-6
Ready for some Bingo fun? Join us for Zoom bingo for a chance to win a fun prize! The coverall winner will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant! Pick up Bingo cards at the library's Youth Services desk or print off your own at https://myfreebingocards.com/numbers/1-75
