Osteoporosis Screening

Osteoporosis develops over time and often the diagnosis only occurs after a bone failure. People over 35 may take a f free bone density ultrasound screening. Genealogy Club

Students learn how to create an email address, read messages sent to them, send messages to someone else, and use several popular email tricks to make this process faster and easier.

Online Job Hunting
Thursday July 10, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Instructor: Chris

In this class students will learn how to use Microsoft Word to create sharp, easily read and understood résumés. They will also learn how to create accounts on and perform searches with job finding sites online like Hotjobs and Monster. This course is about the technical skills required to create the résumés, not about proper style, content, or design. The instructor cannot judge whether or not a student’s résumé looks good, he can only show them how to make whatever changes they want.

This class will provide a deeper investigation of Excel topics introduced in the Intermediate Excel course, as well as examining other functions provided by Excel.

Beginners Internet Course: Email Attachments & More

Students will take the next step with email, learning how to attach files, view attachments sent to them, organize email into folders, work with an address book, and adjust the options of their accounts to personalize and speed up working with their email.

This desktop publishing program can be used to create newsletters, brochures, cards, banners, etc. The class will cover basic techniques needed to create professional publications.

Paws to Read (All Ages)

Summer Reading Program 2014

The library's Summer Reading Program Paws to Read continues until August 2. Children from birth to Grade 6 can sign up at the Youth Services Desk.

Lego Madness (Grades 1-5)

Mondays, July 2 and August 4
6:00-7:30 p.m.

Registration is required and beings Monday, June 2 for Bloomingdale residents.

We supply the Legos, you supply the imagination! Join us each month for a specially themed Lego building challenge and free build. This program is provided through a generous donation from Salerno's Rosedale Funeral Chapel.



Craft Time (All Ages)

First Thursday of the month, 3:00-8:00 p.m.
Registration is Not Required.


Visit the librarians on the first Thursday of every month for a quick craft lesson. They'll supply the materials to get you started, and you can finish on your own. Craft Time on June 5 and July 3 will be from 1:00 -8:00 p.m.

A Yu-Gi-Oh! card tournament is held every first Teen Game Night of the month (the second Thursday). Tournaments are single duel, and no proxy cards are allowed during tournament play.

New to Project M? From the developer's website: "Project M is a community-made mod of Brawl inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee's gameplay designed to add rich, technical gameplay to a balanced cast of characters while additionally enhancing the speed of play."

New this summer, we'll be holding mini tournaments throughout the event! Registration isn't required for the mini tournaments - just show up and play! Mini tournament games include Dance Central and more to be announced.
