Book Discussion Groups

Printer-friendly versionBloomingdale Public Library offers four adult book discussion groups. Join us for fun and some thought-provoking discussions. Newcomers are always welcome!

One Book Minimum Discussion Group
The One Book Minimum Discussion Group appeals to the literary interests of patrons in their 20s and 30s. The discussion group meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at Ballydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant in Bloomingdale. Copies of book selections are available at the circulation desk one month before the discussion.

Adult Book Group
The Bloomingdale Public Library Adult Book Discussion Group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. The group reads classic and contemporary fiction and nonfiction. Copies of the selections are available at the Circulation Desk.

Historical Book Group
The Historical Book Discussion Group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Books are selected on topics of American history from pre-Revolutionary War to current time including biographies, history books, historical fiction and classics. Copies of the selections are available at the Circulation Desk.

Bloomingdale Mystery Mavens
Join fellow mystery fans for an illuminating discussion of mysteries at the Bloomingdale Mystery Mavens book discussion. The Mystery Mavens meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m., except June, August, and December. Copies of the selections are available at the Circulation Desk.
