VolunTEENs
HAVE FUN AS A MEMBER OF THE LIBRARY'S TEAM THIS SUMMER!
The VolunTEEN program at Bloomingdale Public Library is open to students in grades 7-12 that would like to gain work experience and earn community service hours while assisting the Youth Services Staff. Volunteers work 2-4 hours per month preparing craft materials, keeping the department tidy, helping with children's programs, and helping with special projects. This summer, teens will have the added opportunity of assisting with summer reading program tracking! Teens learn punctuality, responsibility and can earn volunteer hours that will count toward confirmation or honor society requirements. A minimum commitment of 6 volunteer hours is required.
Our summer application process will begin in April. If you have any questions, please contact the Youth Services Department at 630-924-2740 or email hknuth@mybpl.org.
