Experience gaming on our big screen! Show off your skills in Guitar Hero and Rock Band, fight against friends in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, race in Mario Kart Wii, or groove to DDR. Bring your friends and enjoy free food! Registration not necessary, just stop on by! While you're here, be sure to check out the Library's collection of console video games, which includes games for Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo GameCube, and Nintendo DS. A Yu-gi-Oh! card tournament will be held at every first Teen Game Night of the month (the second Thursday). Tournaments are single duel, and no proxy cards are allowed during tournament play.

It’s DIY spa time! Make your own fizzy bath bombs, relaxing bath salts, and flavored lip balm. They also make great gifts! Register at the Reference Desk, online, or by phone at (630) 924-2730. Open to 7th-12th graders only.

Watch anime on the library’s big screen! Help plan new anime and manga events, suggest new anime to watch, bring in your decks to duel, and eat some great snacks. Registration not necessary!

Third Saturday of the month
1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Your move! It’s time to duel! Calling all players of collectible card games, ages 9 and up! Join us for open play, a tournament, snacks, and a good time! We currently support Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic: The Gathering, but players of all games are welcome to attend. No registration required.

Are you a teen with great ideas for the library, but don’t know where to start? Wish the library had gaming tournaments or would purchase a popular new series? Then check out the library’s Teen Advisory Group! If you’re in 7th- 12th grade, you can earn volunteer hours through projects such as suggesting purchases or planning teen programs. To join the group, please fill out a sign-up form, available at the Reference Desk, the YA Spot, or online here. Please turn in completed forms to the Reference Desk. Snacks provided.

Celebrate National Gaming Day at the Library! At this all ages event, we’ll have open play of board games, video games, and Yu-Gi-Oh. For competitors who love intense action, defeat all challengers during our Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and Yu-Gi-Oh single elimination tournaments. Win prizes by showing you’re the ultimate gamer!
