Anime @ the Library

Last updated September 2016

If you love anime, check out all the series and movies available in LINC, your network of local libraries. The libraries carry anime for all ages (kids through adults), so movie ratings will vary from G to R, while TV ratings will range from TV-Y to TV-M.

You can place the following anime on hold through the library’s online catalog, by phone (630-924-2730), or during your next visit to the library.

Having trouble placing a hold? You have a few choices when requesting an item that the Bloomingdale Public Library doesn’t own.

If you're trying to place a hold on a recently released anime (released within the last six months), your best option is to make a purchase request. You can fill out this online form, email (bdref@mybpl.org), phone (630-924-2730), IM, or stop by the Reference Desk to make purchase suggestions.

If you want an older anime (released in the US over six months ago), then you can request an interlibrary loan. Using the library's interlibrary loan service, you can have items shipped to the library from across the nation. Call or visit the Reference Desk to place an interlibrary loan. You can have five loans at a time, and you must have a Bloomingdale Public Library card to make interlibrary loan requests.

If you like anime, you should also check out the Manga @ the Library list!
